EJCOA National Junior Finals – July 2022-25
Annual national finals tournaments, with coaching and lectures by chess masters, take place in Nottingham. NCF part-funds and provides places for ambitious Nottinghamshire juniors to take part.
Support a player to become Grandmaster – 2023-26
Young and talented Nottinghamshire player is seeking to gain the title of Grandmaster at tournaments around Europe. NCF supports travel and accommodation costs.
School Chess Clubs – 2024-26
NCF has provided funds to help start up or develop chess in schools. 10 schools around the County have received help to buy chess equipment and other costs in the past two years.
Lithuanian Chess Challenge – April 2025
A team of young players from Lithuania visited the county and took on local school teams in a unique chess challenge tournament. NCF helped with accommodation, prizes and other expenses.
